Last year was the first in which Apple introduced three models of iPhone while sharing a heart, the A12 Bionic processor, and change out. Apple has opted to offer a terminal like the iPhone XR, powerful but with LCD panel that makes it more affordable. On the other hand, we have two iPhone XS with OLED screens.
It is expected that this 2019 Apple continue with this strategy, a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone and two OLED iPhone 5.8 and 6.5 inches, but in 2020 everything could change. As reported this morning DigiTimes, Apple plans to launch three iPhone OLED in 2020 with screen sizes of 5.42, 6.06 and 6.67 inches.
All iPhone with OLED screen
We are not surprised that Apple wants to pass all its devices to OLED technology, without a doubt it is a great leap in quality and it is not the first time that we heard it. What surprises us most is the new screen sizes that probably change the current iPhone range.

Comparing these new inch sizes with the current ones it seems clear that Apple wants to increase the size of the two iPhone “range stops”, the current iPhone XS and reduce the size of the most affordable model. in this way everything would look like this:
- The successor to the current 6.1-inch iPhone XR with a 5.42-inch OLED screen.
- The successor of the current 5.8-inch iPhone XS with 6.06-inch OLED screen.
- The successor of the current 6.5-inch XS Max iPhone with 6.67-inch OLED screen.
- There is still much left by then but according to Digitimes both Samsung and LG will be responsible for the manufacture of these screens according to their sources.
A 5.42-inch iPhone would look much more like the designs we’ve seen of supposed iPhone SE 2 with screens up to the edges, which will surely please many. The other two models may grow a bit or Apple will completely extend the screen to the edge in the same body.
