MS Paint is through all the standards a basic app. It has a few choice brushes, however, no way to add or create custom brushes unless you guys use a hack. In fact, the app also seems to limit the brush tool to just four sizes as well. In truth, you guys can also get custom brush sizes in MS Paint. You are not really limited to the four sizes the UI provides you.
This applies to all of the tools in MS Paint that have the variable size or weight. It applies to the brush tool, the pencil tool, and also the eraser tool as well.

How to Increase Brush Size in Paint – Tutorial
You need to choose the tool that you want to use. Open the Size dropdown and you will see there are only four fixed sizes available actually. This hack basically lets you choose sizes between and above the ones in order to show in the Size dropdown.
Make sure that you have selected one of the three tools this hack is for. Your cursor point changes size in order to show you the current size or weight of the tool.
In order to increase the size, just hold down the Ctrl button and press the Numpad Plus Button. Each and every click will increase the size of the brush tool. In order to decrease the size, just hold down the Ctrl button and press the Numpad minus button. The screenshot below also shows that the brush tool’s stroke is the default highest size (left) next to a stroke in a larger custom size (right).
No Size Point Reference
The problem along with MS Paint’s brush tool and many other tools is that the tool sizes don’t provide you a numerical value for their size as well. The normal is the Point i.e., pt unit which is what we use in order to measure the size of brushes and text. In MS Paint you guys can see the Point size for text but not for brushes actually. This little trick will let you set a custom brush size in MS Paint, however, you will still guessing what the current size is.
In order to reset or go back to one of the default sizes for a tool, you have to open the Size dropdown and choose one of the four sizes.
