Do you have several AirPods and need a simple way to differentiate them? Maybe you like to personalize the name of your devices? Whatever the reason, in the following lines I want to explain an easy and quick method to change the name to Apple AirPods from any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with which they are synchronized.
To use this little “trick” it is not necessary to restore AirPods to factory status or anything similar. The name change consists of a simple modification in the device settings as you will see in the following lines.

Change the name of your AirPods from the Bluetooth settings
The steps you must follow to change the name of your AirPods are the following:
1. Access the Headphone Settings
The first thing you must do is open the Settings app on the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with which the AirPods are synchronized and then select the Bluetooth section.
Once inside, touch the blue icon (i) next to the current name of the AirPods.

2. Change the name and confirm it
The second and last step is to touch on the Name option and then enter the new name you want to assign to it.
Finally, click on the < button in the upper left part of the screen to go back and confirm the name change of the hearing aids.
Once you have completed these steps, your AirPods will already have the new name assigned. As of that moment, you will see that the iOS device always shows the new name, both in the Bluetooth section as in the battery widget or in any other place where the name appears.
The usual thing is to put a name like “AirPods de Manu” or simply “AirPods” to these accessories, but really there is no limitation and you can put the name you prefer, besides having the possibility of changing it as many times as you want.
