The T-Mobile Note 4 Android 5.1.1 update which we were hoping to come as an OTA in the next few days, following the Sprint Note 4 5.1.1 OTA from yesterday, has surprisingly arrived via Kies first with build number N910T3UVU1DOFC.
No official announcement was made from T-mobile and Samsung, but we know this firmware N910T3UVU1DOFC is Android 5.1.1 for the T-Mobile Note 4. However, with no official changelog, we would like to leave it to you people (who decide on flashing this firmware via Odin) to discover the changes.
SamMobile was the first one to upload the firmware with model number “N910T3” making it pretty strange since the T-Mobile Note 4 has the “N910T” model number. However, it’s clearly mentioned as firmware for U.S.A T-Mobile variant which is reassuring again.
If you ask for our advice we would like you to keep the temptations for now and hold out and not install the firmware on your T-Mobile Note 4. Wait for a few days to see what other users have to say about this.
Also, this T-Mobile Note 4 5.1.1 firmware would break root access and neither Cf-Auto-Root nor flashing SuperSU from TWRP would prove helpful to get root access on this. Only a custom kernel with root injected will get you to root on 5.1.1, which might take a couple of days to develop.
All that said, if you’d still like to install this Android 5.1.1 firmware on your T-Mobile Note 4. Then just grab the firmware file from the download link below and flash it off via Odin.
