Apple last renewed the Mac Pro in 2013, today under the WWDC 2019 the Cupertino reveal the new Mac Pro 2019. The essence of the new product reminiscent of previous models, to be chrome and with an air resembling a “cheese grater”.

Mac Pro 2019, more powerful and modular again
The Mac Pro 2019 is again modular, which had been eliminated from the latest model of 2013. The possibility of changing the interior parts is something that users demanded, and it was thought that Apple would no longer launch this product. It is accompanied by 8 PCIe slots to connect different cards that help improve their performance. The power continues to increase as the new Mac Pro 2019 has up to 28 cores with an Intel Xeon processor and with a capacity of 12 slots for RAM. The capacity of up to 1.5 TB on disk and two Ethernet ports with speeds of up to 10 Gbps.
Inside it will carry an MPX architecture with Radeon Pro 580x, Pro Vega II up to 14 teraflops and 32 GB of HBM2 memory, configurable with dual GPU up to 56 teraflops and 128 GB of HBM2 memory. Two Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB-A ports and the 3.5mm jack.
Something that has been highlighted in the presentation, is that several companies dedicated to professional design such as Adobe, Autodesk, Serif, BlackMagic, among others, will have support for this new product.
A Mac Pro accompanied by a new 32-inch 6K screen
The screen called Pro Display XDR incorporates a chrome design similar to the Mac Pro, has interesting details on the back but its specifications are relevant. 6K resolution of 6.016 x 3.384 pixels. It is impressive that the brightness is 1,600 nits which gives a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1.
It comes with a VESA adapter that holds the screen (strangely sold separately), with the feature that you can remove and put it easily, you can tilt, upload and even put in vertical mode.
Finally, the design of the Mac Pro includes two fasteners with which it can be transported easily. To make matters worse, you can include wheels as if it were a suitcase.
Prices and availability
This new Mac Pro 2019 will arrive in the fall, most likely contains in its interior the new version of macOS. It was not revealed in which countries it will be released, but we believe that Apple will take it into account for both Spain and Mexico.
The Mac Pro 2019 base will cost $ 5,999. (Base version 256 GB SSD and 32 GB RAM). The price will increase according to the desired configuration. The Pro Display XDR will be priced at $ 4,999, the Pro Stand that will mount the screen will be priced at $ 999 and additionally, the VESA adapter will cost $ 199.
