This is AirUnleashed, a product that spares no effort in copying Apple’s product design that will never see the light of day for not meeting the “high standards” of the company – in this article we discussed possible reasons that led to Apple to cancel it.
In addition to the look almost identical to the AirPower (just 12mm thick), AirUnleashed also proposes to recharge three devices simultaneously: an iPhone, an Apple Watch and AirPods recharging kit – or any other smartphone compatible with the Qi standard, of course.
Obviously, there’s nothing in there like what Apple was trying to do with AirPower. Probably we have only three electromagnetic coils side by side, that is, you must position each device in an exact location for the recharge to happen. In the case of Apple Watch, there is even a low-hanging circle that indicates where it should stand. No wonder the AirUnleashed really exists.
The bad news is that the company responsible for AirUnleashed has also been inspired by Apple to set its price: it’s $ 99 for the product, plus freight and possible import taxes. It comes with a USB cable but does not include a plug adapter. Oh, well …
