6 professional tricks to improve your iPhone’s battery
Check battery status
No, we do not mean you take a look and see if at that time you have 15 percent of life left. It is something deeper, check the general condition of the battery. Over time, batteries are degrading naturally, and around 500 charge cycles or a year and a half, show signs of weakness.
Checking it is simple, just go to Settings> Battery> Battery health and see what state it is in. If the percentage is less than 80 percent, you are screaming for a replacement. Going to an Apple Store to make a replacement is not too expensive, or you can do it yourself. In iFixit they explain clearly and step by step how to do it.
See what apps are killing your battery
To get a general idea of how applications are using the battery, you can go to Settings> Battery and select “Battery”. From there, download and you will see a list of applications ordered by consumption, in the last 24 hours or 10 days. Tap anywhere on the list and you’ll see details of how long those apps have been in use, including those in the background.
What can you do with this information? Use it to see where “life” is going. Check that you probably have apps that eat your battery, that you may have apps in the background that you don’t really need permanently. Try also to take a look at the location options and which apps have permanent access to it. A successful configuration is to grant permission to use the location only at the time of using the app.
Too much shine, bad
Indeed, an option with high screen brightness is a “battery killer” It makes little sense to have it, so the best thing you can do is lower the brightness, or failing that, set it to automatically graduate. This option is available within the Settings, under “Screen and Brightness”.
We must keep in mind that a high brightness favors the heating of your iPhone, and heat is the natural enemy of the battery. That is why it is always advisable to lower the brightness or set it automatically. Less is more.
When loading
This point of warming takes us to another, it is always advisable to charge your iPhone without a case, either the cable or wireless charging. The covers retain much heat, so if we go back to the previous point we can get an idea of why it is not a good idea to leave the cover on while charging.
Forget about continuous charges
Those of iFixit means that when we put it to load, we take it to its full cycle and that’s it. Not that we put it for a little while, let’s get to 46 percent, let’s go to the street, then another time to 68 percent and so on. It is better to drain the battery and make a full charge, in such a way that the cycle is completed.

Use the low power mode
Since iOS 9, it is a great ally of those drummers. Get temporarily disable everything you do not need, push mail or Siri, to leave a saving mode that seems very effective. You know, if you have a long day ahead of you and you don’t know when you will be able to charge it, activate the Low Consumption mode. Or get an external battery.
