Due to the fact that Google has removed the dessert name system for this year’s new Android version. It does not mean that it has interrupted all traditions regarding the naming of each new version. Because every year, a statue representing the latest version of Android is on the lawn in Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California (commonly known as Googleplex). In 2015, the Google desert name for Android 6.0 is not official until the Android bugdroid statue with a marshmallow is going to deliver to Google headquarters.

Google has renamed its Android logo this year
Today, a tweet from Dave Burke, vice president of engineering for Android, showed the statue that was delivered for Android 10. They are the numbers “1” and “0” with the severed head of the bugdroid resting on the inside the number “0” The statue of last year, of course, is related to the code name of Android 9 Pie. Google has renamed its Android logo this year and now includes the bugdroid head without its body.
How many names of Android desserts do you remember? First of all, there are 17 statues in Googleplex starting from Android 1.5 (Cupcake) 2009. As it wasn’t until Android 2.0 (Eclair) was launched with Motorola DROID in November 2009 that the operating system started to take off. In February 2011, Google launched its Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet version only to coincide with the launch of Motorola XOOM.
