Pixel 3 Owners Reporting Camera Shaking Problem

A number of complaints arise in the Google forum called Pixel Phone Help. And on Reddit, the owners of Pixel 3 complaining that the rear camera of their phones will shake or vibrate. A person who writes in the Google support forum states something like this. “When I open the camera app on my Pixel 3 to take a photo or record video, the image sent to the display is distorted as if the camera was shaking violently”.

He further adds that opening and closing the app several times will eventually prevent this from happening. But obviously, this prevents you from taking pictures unexpectedly.

Pixel 3 Camera Shaking

A response from a “platinum product expert” suggests that the problem is related to the OIS of the camera. Ironically, this feature keeps the camera still at the time of video recording. We recommend that you open the phone in safe mode and test the camera. Make sure that the problem is not happening by the use of a third-party app.

If the problem persists, you can call Pixel support to have the device repaired or replaced under warranty. However, another owner of Pixel 3 called the support. And provided with the solution to uninstall the camera updates and start it in safe mode. When those two attempts failed to solve the problem, Google’s last support option included the two words. “Factory reset” that nobody wants to hear. This could not prevent the Pixel 3’s rear camera from vibrating, so this person is waiting for a replacement unit.

The shaking problem only occurs in Pixel 3’s rear camera. Pixel 3 XL does not seem to be affected. The shared video shot with an interesting unit shows the distorted and therefore “vibrant” image. It is immediately obvious that something is wrong with the phone’s camera. If it is a hardware problem, all that Google can do is repair or replace the warranty units. Pixel 3 was launched on October 18, 2018, means that all models should be covered by the one-year limited warranty.

Google Will Have To Adapt Its Production Process For The Next Pixel 4 Line

Pixels are known to have problems when they are released for the first time. However, software updates released by Google generally solve these problems. In 2017, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL had so many problems when it was launched for the first time.  A law firm recruited device owners to join a lawsuit against the producers of Pixel HTC, LG, and Google. Some of the problems faced by Pixel users include a burned-out screen on Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 2. These suffered clicks and whistles that were heard during phone calls.

Google will have to strengthen production and quality control if it wants the much more ambitious. Pixel 4 series to be seen as a challenge for the Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S models. Firstly, Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will appear multiple cameras on the back for the first time. Google has already revealed that the new Pixel models will feature a secure face recognition system. It will challenge Apple’s Face ID, but the most important new feature seems to be called Motion Sense. Use Google’s Suns technology to allow users to control certain aspects of the phone using hand gestures. As this technology involves the usage of radar, it can be quite complex. Google claims that users can skip music, postpone alarms and silence phone calls with a wave of the hand. But if Google wants the Pixel brand to compete at the top of the smartphone industry. Then the Pixel 4 line must exit without serious problems.

If Google continues with its MO, we should see Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL in October.
